A cold and blustery day did not stop Holstein enthusiasts from gathering at Bella-View Holsteins in Marion, WI for the Quest for Success II, hosted by Bella-View Holsteins and Ryan-Vu Hosteins on March 27, 2015. This second sales venture of the the Harbaugh and Ryan families averaged an impressive $8,406 on 100 live lots. Assisting in sale management was the Great Northern Land & Cattle Company. Chris Hill of Thurmont, MD took charge of calling the sales, while Norman Nabholz of West Union, IA joined him in the box for pedigree updates.

Topping the sale at $37,500 was Lot G1 consigned by L-L-M Dairy of Ringle, WI. L-L-M-Dairy Troy Precision is a December 2014 River-Bridge Co-op Troy daughter at +2589GTPI from a VG85 Supersire, next dam is a VG87 Jetstream. She was purchased by Select Sires, Plain City, OH.
Second high seller for the day was Lot G4, Synergy Tango Petrisse, a +2534GTPI July 2014 Mr Welcome Hill Tango from a VG87 Mr Regelcreek Shot Alan, with the second dam being an EX91-DOM Planet, followed by nine more generations of EX and VG cows. Petrisse was purchased by Brad & Wendy Fust of Wausau, WI.
Third high seller at $25,500 was Lot R13, Lake-Prairie Alison-Red-ET. Alison is a VG88 Advent out of Budjon Rubens Annette EX94-2E. Alison is a 3x R&W All-American nominee, including be named the unanimous R&W All-American Fall Yearling in 2013. She was consigned by Marvin & Joe Schluter, Gifford, IL.
Morrill Heztry Clover-Red sold as Lot R9 for $25,000. She was the unanimous R&W All-American Spring Yearling for 2014. She is a Heztry from a VG85 Advent, backed by three more generations of EX dams. She is due in June to Armani, and was consigned by Hammertime, Allyndale, Kimball & Conroy, Poynette, WI.
Selling for $23,000 was Lot 24, Ryan-Vu Chip Claudette-ET. Claudette earned an All-American nomination in the Fall Calf class is 2014. She is a Gold Chip from an EX Sanchez x EX92-3E Dundee. She was the consignment of Ryan, Hill & Finke, Fond du Lac, WI.
Lot 2 also sold for $23,000, consigned by Siemers Holsteins. She is Siemers Wood Ashlynn-ET, a December 2013 Pine-Shelter Clay Wood daughter of Tri-Day Ashlynn-ET EX96-2E-GMD-DOM. She was the 2014 Reserve Calf Champion at the WI Junior State Fair.
