New York's Next Generation Jersey Sale Report

The New York Next Generation Sale concluded today, at the Steuben County Fairgrounds in Bath, N.Y. This sale combines online and live lots, groups and individuals, production and type.

The sale averaged $1,494.74 on a total of 38 head.

The top selling lot was Lot 16, Latimore I Luv U, consigned by Janet Ludwig, York Springs, Pa. She is a Summer Yearling “Iatola” out of Latimore Counciller Ingrid, E-95%. “I Luv U” was sold to Jason Nagel in Panama, N.Y., for  $4,100.

Lot 46A was the second top selling lot in the New York Next Generation Sale, was Kevetta Incentive Velour-ET. This March calf from “Incentive” and out of Oakfield TBone Vivianne-ET, E-94% was bid off at $3,800 by Jack and Colleen Button of Troupsburg, N.Y. She was consigned by Kevetta Farms, Dansville, N.Y.

Also selling for over $3000 was Lot 1 – Cowbell Iatola Tater Tot, an upcoming Jr. 2-year-old consigned by Christine Sheesley Rozler. This “Iatola” bred heifer is due in June to “Blue Suede Shoes” and is out of an E-91% dam, with a long pedigree to back. Jason Nagel, Panama, N.Y., bought her for $3050.
