“We encourage farmers and others interested in advocating
for the industry through social media to join us for one of these trainings,”
said ADA North East CEO Rick Naczi. “No one can tell your story better than you
can, and in this digital era, it’s the fastest, most effective way to share
positive messaging.”
Participants in these training sessions do not have to be a
member of DairyFAN, the innovative leadership and social media advocacy
outreach program sponsored by ADA North East. DairyFAN is designed to help
interested promoters in advancing their knowledge and ability to engage on
social media in the growing and complex public dialogue surrounding food and
farms.
Members of DairyFAN participate in interactive social media
engagement and leadership training, food issues education, and networking
opportunities through digital initiatives around food. To join, members must be
18 years of age, a resident in the ADA North East territory (New York,
Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware and northern Virginia counties);
active on at least one social media channel; and be passionate about advocating
for the dairy industry. Click here to apply:
