Two more mid-winter farm conferences are switching from
in-person to virtual formats.
The 2021 Forage Symposium will be all-virtual as a
precaution against coronavirus. That event jointly hosted by the Midwest
Forage Association, the Professional Nutrient Applicators Association of
Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Custom Operators is normally held in Wisconsin
Dells, Wisconsin during February.
In a statement, Wisconsin Custom Operators President Bryce
O’Leary says his group will not offer virtual content, but the Midwest Forage
Association will have a modified virtual conference. O’Leary says they will
hold their business meeting January 27th using Zoom, and they
are considering options for their 2021 biannual safety training certification
program.
The National Mastitis Council was planning a four-day event
in Dallas, Texas starting January 25th, but their board decided Friday to
proceed with a virtual program instead. Programming will still be held that
week, with presentations, short courses, and small group sessions at various
times. The NMC Board also reduced registration fees for the online conference.
