PDPW Announces Speakers for Weekly Dairy Signal

The Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin says another group of speakers are set to take part in the online Dairy Signal program this week.

On Tuesday, a panel discussion of producers who use robotic milking systems will share their experiences with the technology. Panelists include Dan Venteicher, Honey Creek Dairy; Jared Feltz, Feltz Family Farms; and Dr. James Salfer, University of Minnesota Extension Professor.

Zoey Nelson of Brooks Farm 1855 and Heather Johnson from Alfalawn Farm will give a similar presentation on Wednesday's program, where they'll talk about automatic calf feeders.

And on Thursday, Terry Allen of Consumer Physics will join Dr. Luiz Ferraretto, a ruminant nutrition specialist with the UW-Madison-Extension, will talk about the SCiO Cup used by consultants and producers on the farm to measure dry matter in haylage, corn silages, small grain silages and other feed ingredients within a few minutes.

All episodes are free and available to the public, accessible from www.pdpw.org. They are streamed live at 12:00 noon or available on demand for later playback.
