W.L. (Willie)Olson Passes
Word has been received of the passing of W.L. (Willie) Olson.  Willie was the Klussendorf winner in 1973 and worked for among others Chambric Farm,  Carnation, Lee's Hill, Norvic, Top Acres / Modern Associates and more.  Willie was a popular "tell it like it is" man, and as a cow man he was 2nd to none.

Willie was surely unique with his dedicated work ethic and "no-nonsense cow-sense". He was a very interesting person with a terrific memory and quick wit. Although a bit of a private person, he did share cow and people history flavored with his original humor and amazing detail. I feel fortunate he shared some of these priceless gems of recollection going all the way back to the 40's.

Great Man! I had the pleasure to ride a box car to the Royal Winter Fair with Willie Olson and Woodrow Nunamacker. What a trip!! Hard work but it was like learning from the masters and always the endless stories. He will be missed.

Willie was truly one of a kind. One of the toughest, hardworking, pure cowman ever created. Glad to have called him my friend and will miss the Christmas cards and handwritten notes every Winter.
