Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange closed
higher Monday as grains continued to slide and cash trade was mixed.
September Class III milk unchanged at $16.59. October up 16
cents at $17.50. November five cents higher at $17.35. December up five cents
at $17.62. January through March contracts one to four cents higher.
Dry whey unchanged at $0.53.
Blocks up $0.0250 at $1.8150. One sale was made at that
price.
Barrels down $0.0150 at $1.4425. Five sales were made from
$1.4625 to $1.48.
Butter up $0.0175 at $1.2025. Eight sales were made from
$1.79 to $1.8025.
Nonfat dry milk down $0.0025 at $1.3550. One sale was made
at $1.3525.
