Baraboo, Wis. --Recently five summer interns and one new employee completed Accelerated Genetics in-depth training program where they learned about all aspects of the company.
Schuricht Joins Accelerated Genetics as Regional Assistant
Accelerated Genetics is pleased to announce the addition of Robert Schuricht as a Regional Assistant. In this position, Schuricht will provide relief reproductive services for technicians in northeastern Wisconsin near Elkhart Lake, Wis.
Previously, Schuricht was a herdsman at a dairy in Elkhart Lake, Wis for five years. He holds a Dairy Herdsman degree from the University of Wisconsin-Farm and Industry Short Course. Schuricht was raised on a 150-cow Holstein farm and was active in 4-H and FFA.
Accelerated Genetics Hires Schulenburg as Sales and Service Intern
Accelerated Genetics is excited to announce Eric Schulenburg as a summer Sales and Service Intern for South Central Wisconsin. He will be providing relief A.I. breeding services along with reproductive consulting, and assist with area sales efforts.
Schulenburg has worked on two Holstein farms in the Reedsburg, Wis. At the farms he was responsible for a variety of activities including feeding, milking and breeding. Additionally, he has experience working for the City of Reedsburg.
Schulenburg is attending the University of Wisconsin-Platteville where he is double majoring in Agri-Business and Animal Science with a Dairy Emphasis. While at college, he has been a Dairy Challenge Team member and competed in The Midwest Dairy Challenge in Wooster, Ohio and the National Dairy Challenge in Visalia, Calif.
Accelerated Genetics Hires Enge as Sales and Service Intern
Accelerated Genetics hires Dan Enge as a summer Sales and Service Intern for South Central Wisconsin. He will be providing relief A.I. breeding services along with reproductive consulting, and assist with area sales efforts. MORE
Enge grew up working on the family farm, Enge Farms, Inc., a 600-cow dairy in Prairie du Sac, Wis. On the farm he is responsible for field work, herd health and the breeding program.
Currently, Enge is attending Northcentral Technical College working towards and Associate Degree in Dairy Science.
Accelerated Genetics Hires Schumacher as Sales and Service Intern
Accelerated Genetics is excited to announce Jesse Schumacher as a summer Sales and Service Intern for Southeastern Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. He will be providing relief A.I. breeding services along with reproductive consulting, and assist with area sales efforts.
Schumacher grew up on his family’s 70-cow dairy and 100-cow beef operation in Eyota, Minn.
On the farm he has worked in all areas of the operation. This fall Schumacher will return to Northeast Iowa Community College where he is pursuing a degree in Dairy Science. At school, he is a member of the Dairy Science Club. In addition, Schumacher has worked for the NICC Dairy Foundation in Calmar, Iowa milking cows and taking care of the farm’s fresh cows.
Lundgren Hired as Genetic Services Intern for Accelerated Genetics
Jessica Lundgren will join Accelerated Genetics for the summer as a Genetic Services Intern. She will be responsible for selecting, fitting, and picturing sire daughters. Lundgren will also assist the Genetic Services Coordinator in organizing tours for domestic and international groups.
Lundgren grew up on her family’s dairy farm where they milk 100 Registered Holsteins in Cushing, Wis. In addition, last summer she worked for Wide-Open Holsteins owned by Eddie & Katie Bue in Alma Center, Wis. Lundgren is currently enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls where she is majoring in Dairy Science. While in college, she has been active in the UWRF Dairy Club and is on the UWRF Softball Team. She has also been active in the Polk County and Wisconsin Junior Holstein Associations and served as the 2008 Wisconsin Holstein Princess Attendant.
Hildebrandt Hired as Genetic Services Intern for Accelerated Genetics
Ty Hildebrandt will join Accelerated Genetics for the summer as a Genetic Services Intern. He will be responsible for selecting, fitting, and picturing sire daughters. Hildebrandt will also assist the Genetic Services Coordinator in organizing tours for domestic and international groups.
Hildebrandt resides on his family’s 70-cow registered Holstein farm, Milgene Holsteins, in Hustisford, Wis. On the farm he assists with milking and mating the herd, preparing animals for classification or showing along with planting and harvesting crops.
This fall, Hildebrandt will be a junior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he is majoring in Dairy Science with a Business emphasis. At school he is involved in the Badger Dairy Club where he serves as the World Dairy Expo Showring Chair; Collegiate FFA, Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity, and is on the University of Wisconsin-Madison Dairy Judging Team. Hildebrandt serves as the Vice President of the American Dairy Science Association-Student Affiliate Division. He has also been active in Dodge County and Wisconsin Junior Holstein Associations, Dodge County 4-H and the Hustisford FFA. Last year Hildebrandt was recognized as the Wisconsin Outstanding Holstein Boy and went on to be named a National Holstein Distinguished Junior Member Semifinalist.
