A Grand Time on Prince Edward Island for the Heatwave Sale and Atlantic Summer Showcase

By Larry Kleiner

The PEI Holstein Branch once again offered their most gracious hospitality to Holstein enthusiasts on August 13th and 14th.

The photos here will give you just a hint of the beauty of the island, the quality of their cattle, and the hospitality of their people. All three of these things combine to make the trip to PEI a most enjoyable trip for everyone that loves great Holsteins. I would highly recommend to everyone that they include an August trip to PEI in their 2011 travel plans.

The weekend started on Friday with the 2010 Island Heatwave Sale, Hosted by Bloyce Thompson's Eastside Holsteins, and managed by Brian Craswell Auctions Ltd.

Arriving at sunset the Island says "Take a break and stay a while."

Live music and an Embryo action entertained the large crowd well into the night. Tom DeGroot made his debut as a pedigree reader in the embryo auction.
