Our view of the dairy industry is always long term. With that said I think milk prices will continue to flucuate as they always have, just like feed costs. We do think high springer heifer prices are where we can make money and will sell more heifers than we usually do and hold off on expanding at this time. We also run a beef herd and feeder calves 300-400 lbs. are the highest I have ever seen them.

I'm glad recent news has been positive and I'm not negative, but we need a long period of reasonable milk, cattle and feed prices to catch up for all the bad years the dairy industry has had.
