DAT People's Choice Question of the Week: Who Would it Be?

If you could ask for advice from any present or former individual involved in the dairy industry, who would it be?

I used a lot of semen on Paclamar Bootmaker and Paclamar Astronaut. Always wanted to ask Dick Brooks, owner and manager of Paclamar Farms, about those bulls and the success of Paclamar Farms.

Growing up I can remember looking through the Holstein Red Book and 2 to 3 pages were full of Arlinda bred sires. Rotate, Melwood, Carl to name just a few, all bred by Arlinda Holsteins owned by Wally Lindskoog. I didn't know Mr. Lindskoog, I always thought and still do, that he was ahead of his time and it would have been great to talk to him and try to understand what made Arlinda Holsteins so successful.

I don't know if I would have ask for advice or just listen to his stories. I always thought it would have been great to ride to a sale with Horace Backus and just listen.
