Yes the two heifers are full sisters. They are as big as they look!

She got the upset stomach the day before and as many of you know it takes a couple days to get back to normal. She felt fine other than not making as much milk as the day before. For those who know her, know she would not be alive today if she was not a Durham. Our state fair is climate control so the temp in the barn and showring was in the 70's much better than the summer we had.As far as stress she was eating and being herself showday and was back to normal the next day. The only one who stressed was us.
Why?

Sounds like the poor Durham has been through a lot the past month. Why put her through more stress with 2 shows just a couple days apart?

thanks lisa - I know pictures don't always show what the animal looks like, and to be honest, the picture of the Durham's udder is not flattering, but that explains a lot. Good luck with the Jr. 2 - the Adeens just keep making great ones!

Yes the Durham is EX 95.She was Supreme of the Junior Show and was sick with an upset stomach the day before the open show. She was fresh only 30 days and 10 of those was down. The Jr Two year is a full sister to Debbie the All-American Summer Yearling last year.

Someone told me the winning aged cow, the white Durham in the picture is 95 points. Does anyone know if that is true? Congratulations to the Howards. Both cows look great in the photos. I am guessing if the Jr. 2 was Res. Grand, she will be a contender at Madison. Look forward to seeing her there.
