Judge Chris Hill of Thurmont, MD placed 36 head of Ayrshires at the 2011 Minnesota State Fair Ayrshire Show on Tuesday, August 30th. The Grand Champion for the Day was the winning Aged Cow, Bonnie Brae Aero exhibited by Premium Star Farm. Reserve honors went to the winning 5 Year Old, Se-Ayr-A BBBK Caitlyn, exhibited by Quintin Scott & J. Schaefer of Se-Ayr-A Ayrshires.
For Intermediate Champion, Judge Hill selected his winning Junior 3 Year Old cow, Good-Vue Pokers Venice, exhibited by Good-Vue Ayrshires. Reserve honors went to the winning Junior 2 Year Old, Sathre Fourth of July Sidney exhibited by Sathre Farms.
In the heifer show, Stillmore Cattle Company and Wayne & Donna Lexvold walked away with the show having both Junior and Reserve Junior Champion on a pair of full sisters. Junior Champion honors went to their winning Winter Calf, Stillmore-Lexy Mindy-ET. For Reserve, Judge Hill tapped the winning Fall Calf, Stillmore-Lexy Mandy-ET.
