The Pine-Tree Dairy Sale, Best of Rudy Missy has come and gone and it measured up and exceeded most expectations.
The gross on 112 lots was $1.04 million. The official average on 81 female lots was $11,784.
It was a great sale of great cattle and a great family behind the farm, the Steiners of Rittman, Ohio.
Dave Rama and Horace Backus took care of the sale duties and special guest, Steve Andrews stepped in the help out with the auctioneering duties.
The high seller at $92,000 was lot 2 the highest GTPI daughter of Die Hard and the highest GTPI animal at Pine-Tree Dairy!
The second high seller was Lot 19 Robust x Sheen at $75,000. She sold with several contracts. The third high seller was Lot 76 the homozygous polled heifer, Significant x Hickorymea Goldwyn Ought-P. Carrying polled Bookem male $66,000.
The Steiners are expanding on another dairy just down the road.
The new facility will handle 700 head.
Lots of folks gathered to look over the offering just before the sale began.
The Steiner children wanted to help lead the cattle through the ring.
