The future of the dairy industry is looking bright, based on the turn-out for the Opening Ceremonies of the 10th Annual Premier National Junior Shows at the All-American Dairy Show in Harrisburg, PA. Show committee members went above and beyond the call of duty raising sponsorships for the show, resulting in juniors being given over $35,000 in prizes, including a calf given away in each breed!

The Ayrshire calf was donated by Maple Dell Farm, the David Patrick Family of Woodbine, MD. Maple-Dell Burdette Gloria is going home with one thrilled little boy, Keenan Thygesen of Turnbridge, VT.
Donating the Brown Swiss calf was Wayne & Connie Sliker of Top Acres Brown Swiss in St. Paris, OH. The Sliker's donated Top Acres Wonder Smile-ET. Smile wasn't at the All-American herself, as she is just over a week old and still residing in her calf hutch at Top Acres. Pictured here is her understudy, with the lucky winner Kaitlyn Muncie of Eighty-Four, PA.
Another over-joyed youngster took home a Guernsey calf donated by the Snider Homestead Farm of New Enterprise, PA. Hannah Wilson of Middletown, PA has a new member of her Guernsey herd in Snider Homestead Farm Bereta.
From their Pala family, the Burdette family of Windy-Knoll-View Farm in Mercersburg, PA donated Windy-Knoll-View Proctor, who will be moving in with Courtney Campbell of Gratz, PA
Jeff & Michelle Reasner of JEMI Jerseys in Newburg, PA sent Jemi Getaway from Maltai as their donation to the dairy youth. The lucky recipient was Catherine Savage of Dickerson, MD
Nixs Juke Box was donated by Jake Skinner of Mercersburg, PA to lucky little Madison Wright of Dayden, NY, who is exhibiting Milking Shorthorns for the very first time at the Premier National Junior Show
Del-Hollow Golden Jewel-REd will be heading to New Enterprise, PA with her new owner Austin Mowry. Jewel was gifted to the dairy youth by Del-Hollow Farms of Coudersport, PA.
