Volunteer for Colostrum Management Study

Graduate students at Iowa State University are organizing a nationwide study to evaluate colostrum quality, including IgG concentration and bacterial contamination, and validate a quick test to determine IgG concentration. Your help is needed; the researchers are looking for farms of all sizes across the country to work with. Visits would occur over the course of three months.

Colostrum samples would be taken and analyzed for nutrient content, bacterial content and IgG concentration. Once results are compiled, each participating farm will receive a copy and explanation of the findings.

If you are interested in participating, contact: Kim Morrill, graduate student, Iowa State University, Ph: (603) 568-1404 or email: kmorrill@iastate.edu
